KWCH - Kansas News and Weather - Deputies Looking For Former Coach Accused of Sex Crime

Kingman County deputies are looking for a former Cheney High School para and coach accused of having sex with a 17-year-old student.
Layne Schroeder didn't show up for his scheduled first appearance Thursday afternoon, so the judge issued a bench warrant for Schroeder's arrest. This is the second time the defendant has been a no-show in court. He wasn't there last week.
The Kingman County attorney blamed that on a miscommunication between Schroeder and his defense attorney.
