KWCH - Kansas News and Weather - Motorcycle Rider Critically Hurt in Wreck

An accident early Saturday morning in Reno County leaves a motorcycle rider critically hurt. The Reno County Sheriff says a volunteer firefighter discovered the accident on the east edge of Abbyville around 1:17 Saturday morning.
Investigators believe the rider did not negotiate a curve near the intersection of South Hodge Road and Trail West Road. They say the rider lost control and struck a ditch embankment.
Paramedics took 24-year-old Levi Mitzner to a Wichita hospital in critical condition. He's since been upgraded to serious. Investigators have not said if he was wearing a helmet.
