Rose Hill Middle School Reports Potential H1N1 Cases

By Megahn Snyder (ROSE HILL, Kan.)

Rose Hill is the latest school district to send notes to parents letting them know about the potential for H1N1.

Doctors diagnosed two middle school students over the weekend with Influenza A, the same strain as the Swine Flu. The kids will stay at home until 24 hours after their fevers break.

These are potential cases because health officials have stopped testing for H1N1 unless the patient is in the hospital.

Rose Hill Assistant Superintendent Brad Kerns says teachers are asking kids to wash their hands more often and use sanitizer.

H1N1 is very similar to the regular flu, something schools deal with every year.
