A 54-year-old Scott City woman is sentenced to 18 months for embezzlement.  Cindy Bailey of Scott City pleaded guilty in July to one count of theft by a bank employee.

Bailey was an employee at Security State Bank of Scott City, Kan.

According to the US Attorney's Office, Bailey admitted to stealing money from customers' accounts between 2004 and July of 2008.

The theft was discovered during a routine FDIC audit in 2008.  That audit determined that she had stolen $218,626.
