
Eyewitness News (SEDGWICK COUNTY, Kan.) The following is from the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Department: Sheriff Bob Hinshaw announces promotions within the sheriff's office. Effective Monday, November 9, 2009 the following promotions have taken effect: Sergeant Randall Cole promoted to the rank of lieutenant remaining in the law enforcement bureau. Lieutenant Cole has been with the sheriff's office for sixteen years, working in patrol, investigations, training, and community liaison. Lieutenant Cole is a graduate of Newman University. Detective Kevin Bradford promoted to the rank of sergeant remaining in the law enforcement bureau. Sergeant Bradford has been with the sheriff's office for twenty years, working in detention, patrol, and investigations. Sergeant Bradford is a graduate of Manhattan Christian College. Detective Timothy Myers promoted to the rank of sergeant remaining in the law enforcement bureau. Sergeant Myers has been with the sheriff's office for eleven years, working in detention, patrol, and investigations. Deputy Benjamin Blick promoted to the rank of detective remaining in the law enforcement bureau. Detective Blick has been with the sheriff's office for ten years, working in road patrol, inmate transportation, and most recently as a warrant deputy. Detective Blick is a graduate of Wichita State University. Deputy Jon Gill promoted to the rank of detective remaining in the law enforcement bureau. Detective Gill has been with the sheriff's office for seven years, working as a patrol deputy, where he was involved in the training of recruit deputies and accident reconstruction. Detective Gill is a graduate of Wichita State University. Deputy Michael Powell promoted to the rank of detective remaining in the law enforcement bureau. Detective Powell has been with the sheriff's office for twelve years, working in detention and patrol. He has served as a motorcycle deputy and has been involved in accident reconstruction and the training of recruit deputies. Detention Corporal Jeremy Woodson promoted to the rank of detention sergeant remaining in the detention bureau. Sergeant Woodson has been with the sheriff's office for ten years, where he has been heavily involved in the training of recruit deputies. Sergeant Woodson became a corporal in 2004. Detention Deputy Chris Tucker promoted to the rank of detention corporal remaining in the detention bureau. Corporal Tucker has been with the sheriff's office for eleven years, working in the facility and becoming a field training deputy helping train new recruit deputies. Corporal Tucker has a masters degree from Friends University.
