The Kansas Health Foundation gives $954,874 to local non-profits.
It will help with 57 different projects across the state. Twenty-one groups in Sedgwick, Butler and Harvey counties received part of the grant. The grants range from $1,500 to $25,000.
The following groups from Sedgwick, Butler and Harvey counties received grants:
- $25,000 to Kansas Food Bank Warehouse Inc.
- $25,000 to Friends of the Great Plains Nature Center Inc.
- $25,000 to Newman University, bullying in schools project.
- $25,000 to Wichita Area Sexual Assault Center Inc.
- $25,000 to YMCA (Young Men’s Christian Association) of Wichita.
- $25,000 to Hope Street Youth Development Inc.
- $25,000 to Pass It On – Outdoor Mentors Inc. in Wichita.
- $25,000 to Three Trees Inc.
- $24,916 to Kansas African American Museum Inc. and nine other organizations, "Senior Wednesday” program.
- $24,740 to Wichita Independent Neighborhoods Inc.
- $24,557 to Asbury Park Inc.
- $24,512 to Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters Inc.
- $23,095 to Kansas Children’s Service League
- $22,750 to SIDS Network of Kansas Inc.
- $22,500 to Extension Education Foundation Inc.
- $10,425 to Sedgwick County Board of County Commissioners for Central Plains Area Agency on Aging
- $10,350 to Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception for the “Wilderness Warriors” program

- $3,229 to USD 460 Hesston for the “Real Care Babies” project
