Could it be a possible case of "stranger danger" or another misunderstanding?
Wichita police are trying to find out.
They were called out to L'Ouverture Computer Technology Magnet, an elementary school, Tuesday afternoon.
A parent there said a man, sitting in the parking lot near the school, tried to lure students to his vehicle with his puppy.
The parent told police, the man was standing outside of his SUV. He asked the kids who were walking home, if they wanted to see his dog.
The parent confronted the man and told the kids to get back in the school.
Police say, that's when the man left the parking lot "abruptly."
School officials were notified about the incident.
The man is described as a Hispanic male in his mid-30s. He was driving a green SUV.
