Wichita PD To Focus On DUI & Seatbelt Violations

The Wichita Police Department along with other area law enforcement, will take part in the Kansas Thanksgiving Traffic Enforcement Campaign.

Between November 23rd and 29th, officers will be looking for impaired drivers, along with children, teens, and adults who are not properly restrained.

According to KDOT, people in crashes that involve alcohol are twice as likely to be injured or killed compared to non-alcohol related crashes.

People who do not use seat belt buckles are 12 times more likely to be killed, and twice as likely to be injured.
