Harvey County Offers H1N1 Vaccine to Everyone

The Harvey County Health Department is opening up H1N1 vaccine clinics to anyone who wants a shot. While the clinics will be open to everyone, officials say they will continue to stress high risk categories.

The department is offering the vaccine not only during walk-in clinics at the department's headquarters in Newton, but also during walk-in clinics at Harvey County elementary schools.

Health Department Walk-in Clinics:

  • Dec. 2, 4, 9, 10; During regular office hours at 316 Oak in Newton.

School Walk-in Clinics:

  • Dec. 3: 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Sedgwick Elementary and Burrton schools.
  • Dec. 7: 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Bethel College (North Newton) and Hesston College.
  • Dec. 8: 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at McKinley Administrative Center, 308 E. First, in Newton.
  • Dec. 11: 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Hesston schools.

There is no cost for the H1N1 vaccine. There is a $25 fee for seasonal flu vaccines. Click here for more details on H1N1 or to see a list of high-risk groups.
