Understanding Superficial Venous Reflux
Your legs are made up of a network of veins. Healthy leg veins contain valves that open and close to assist the return of blood back to the heart. Venous reflux disease develops when the valves that keep blood flowing out of the legs and back to the heart become damaged or diseased. This can cause blood to pool in your legs and lead to symptoms such as pain, swelling, swollen limbs, leg heaviness and fatigue, skin changes and skin ulcers, and varicose veins.

Our office works from a daily appointment schedule. Please call our office in advance so we may reserve a time for you. We make every effort to honor all appointment times, but occasionally emergencies can cause a delay. We will keep you informed should this occur. If you are unable to keep an appointment, please give 24 hours notice if possible so we can care for another patient at that time.

The office number is answered 24 hours a day. After hours, the physician on call can be paged for emergency needs.
