by Kim WilhelmSome Hutchinson prison inmates are upset because they're being limited to one roll of toilet paper a week. The Hutchinson Correctional Facility is doing that to save costs.
Two inmates sent letters to the Hutchinson News saying they're afraid it will cause infection and disease. But prison officials say if inmates do need more toilet paper, they will get it. They say it's a delicate balance between inmate needs and spending taxpayer money wisely.
By the way, each roll of prison toilet paper has 1000 sheets - that's about 140 sheets per day. Research shows an average person uses less than half that amount.
