Celebrity Life Lingers for Big Brother Contestant

We were lucky enough to catch up to Jessica Hughbanks at a Wichita Thunder dance team practice.

The team's first home game is in two weeks, and Hughbanks still has a few dances to learn.

Since returning home from three months on Big Brother 8, the Haysville native has kept quite the social calendar.

Between a trip to Seattle for a live internet interview, another trip to L. A. for a reality TV awards show, and more than 18,000 friends on myspace, Hughbanks says she's barely had time for herself.

"It's great when people come up and say we enjoyed you on the show.  It just makes me feel good knowing people were backing me up the whole time I was there," she says.

Hughbanks shyly admitted to continuing her relationship with house mate, Eric Stein.

When asked about him, she laughingly said, "We're dating.  I guess he's my boyfriend."

She says the two won an award for best "showmance" at the FOX Reality Channel Really Awards in L. A.  Showman refers to a reality show romance.

She says Eric may come visit Kansas soon.  In the mean time, Hughbanks has a list of local appearances to make.

They include judging the Shocker Madness basketball contest at WSU, an autograph signing at Jock and Jill's, riding in the Haysville parade, and making an appearance for the Odessa Jackalopes.

Hughbanks has been so busy, she's taking this semester off from Wichita State University.  She says she likes the new life, but is looking forward to returning to her old routine.

"I am ready to looking forward to dancing again and going back to school."
