Vote Canvass Results: Renwick Bond Passes

Results for the Goddard and Renwick School District bond issues are in.

Goddard is asking for an $83 million dollar bond to build new schools in order to deal with a growing population.

Goddard Results:

59% of the voters said YES, approving the bond issue for Goddard.
40% of the voters said NO.     

 

Three seperate issues were voted on for the Renwick District.     

Renwick Results:                 

• Proposition #1 asked for about $9 million dollars for renovations and additions to Andale Elementary, Colwich Elementary, and St. Mark's Elementary.

57% voted YES.                                                                                                                        42% Voted NO.

• Proposition #2 asked for $8.5 million dollars for renovations of classrooms at Andale and Garden Plain High School.

The vote for this was tied the night of the election, but once the canvass was complete Friday, the bond passed by just two votes.  The final tally:

693 / 50% Yes
691 / 49% No

• Proposition #3 asked for $4.4 million dollars to construct, furnish, and equip a gymnasium for Andale High and construct a new auditorium, and drama classrooms at Garden Plain High School.

56% Voted NO.

43% Voted YES.
