By Joe Ballard

Storm reports from across central Kansas have been flooding into our newsroom. Here is a list of some of the more significant reports we have received.

Wichita:

Quarter Sized Hail, with 60 - 70 mph winds.

Hutchinson:

Golf ball sized hail, with 75 to 80 mph winds.

Employees at the Reno County Courthouse were moved to the basement.

Pratt:

Damage to buildings at Pratt Airport from strong straight line winds.

Ellsworth County:

No structural damage. Reports of high winds, nickel sized hail and heavy rain.

Trego County:

Wakeeny Police say 2 elephants were loose in the city. The animals knocked down power lines. Police believe they were spooked by tornado sirens and weather moving through the area. They were in the town with a circus. Both elephants are back in care of circus employees.

Kingman County:

Most of the damage in western part of the county. Powerlines down along 60th and 70th roads. Penalosa and Nashville are without power.

Eyewitness News has also received video from Rusty Fritz in Edson, Kansas. With his cell phone, Fritz caught hail tearing apart trees in his back yard.
