KWCH - Kansas News and Weather - EMCU: Girl Lied About Being Chained by Father

The Exploited and Missing Child Unit says - a girl who claimed her father chained her up as punishment for breaking curfew made up the story.
According to a police report, the 15-year-old girl reported the incident Tuesday afternoon. She claimed her father was angry at her for coming home late one night. She reports he put a padlock around her ankle and chained her up in the backyard for a period of time.
Authorities later determined that the father did put something around her ankle, but she was not chained to anything.
No charges are expected.
SRS and the Wichita Police Department are investigating.
