Public Gives Input on East Kellogg Project

Residents and business owners who live and work near East Kellogg had a chance to look at plans for a new freeway project.

The project includes Kellogg east from Cypress to the Butler County line. Planning for this project has taken years, now the city wants to get the public's input on the design options.

Currently, 40,000 vehicles a day travel through this area. By 2040, a projected 100,000 vehicles a day will go through.

Resident Jean Seeger lives near the area and is concerned about increased traffic and her property value.

Econo Lodge manager Ron Kidwell looks over the designs and prefers one over the other.  The city wants to hear from all in the area before going ahead with the project.
