General and Small Group Guidelines:
Scheduling is subject to Tour guide availability and must be scheduled through the Special Projects Coordinator
Groups must be no more than 20 persons total at a time
Children younger than first grade must be accompanied by an adult with a 2 children to 1 adult ratio
Tours must be scheduled between 9 am and 11:00 am and/ or 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm on Monday through Friday (some exclusions may apply – direct questions to the Special Projects Coordinator)
Large Groups:
Must be first grade and older
Can be no more than 40 persons total on one day – in this case, 20 people will go through the tour inside the building while the second half must wait outside or in their vehicles until the first group is finished, then switch.
Watching a Newscast Live:
Individuals must be at least in 5th grade or older
Groups may be no more than 10 people
Groups may only watch the noon or 5:00 newscast (some exclusions may apply – direct questions to Special Projects Coordinator)
About the Tour:
Our station tours are meant to be informative and educational. Individuals have the opportunity to see how a news cast is made and all of the different facets of a successful media group. This tour is most effective for students 5th grade and older, but is available to children ages 1st grade – 4th grade as well. The tour lasts about 25 minutes with a question and answer time at the end.
