Merriam-Webster is out with the words people looked up the most in 2012.  They're a couple of words you heard a lot in the run-up to the November election, socialism and capitalism.  The dictionary says traffic on its website for the two words about doubled this year as people debated American capitalism versus European socialism.

This is the first time the dictionary has picked two words instead of one for the title of most looked-up words. 

Last year, the top word was austerity.
