Many of us are on a budget already, but we can still help those who have even less.

Check your pantry regularly for items that your own family didn't like or won't eat before the expiration.

The end of a season is an especially good time to do organize your pantry to make room for the current season's favorites (soup in the winter, condiments & marinades in the summer...).

Don't forget foods your family has "outgrown." The last few jars of baby food and the fruit cups when your child is beyond packing a lunch are great additions to the food pantry shelf.
Save every coupon, even if it isn't a brand you like. You never know when that toothpaste you won't use could be free for someone else.

Keep an eye out for great bargains on highly requested items such as canned goods, boxed dinners, peanut butter and juice.

By adding an item or two each week with little or no cost your family, you can have a full bag to feed the hungry before you know it!
