The Age of Chivalry was brought to life this weekend with Wichita’s annual Spring Great Plains Renaissance Festival.

The festival continues to be one of Wichita's longest standing spring traditions, bringing eager crowds of visitors to see singing pirates, fire breathing daredevils, medieval belly dancers, knights in heavy armor, medieval music, whimsical fairies, and jousters on horseback to the Sedgwick County Park.

Festival goers feasted on medieval food and drinks, dressed in their finest renaissance attire.

Even if attendees didn’t arrive in their finest armored outfits, they definitely had the option of leaving in one.  Vendors were selling everything from medieval outfits to weaponry, accessories to armor; there was something available to turn you into a true renaissance individual.

The festival took place on Saturday, April 12 through Sunday, April 13.
