HURON, Michigan--A police officer saved a live deer by removing it from the road--because it couldn't move itself.

This scared deer is giving new meaning to the expression "like a deer in headlights.”

The frightened deer stood frozen in the middle of a busy Michigan road for about a half hour.

To save the animal, an officer eventually just picked up the doe and placed it on the side of the road.

The officer's dashcam captured it all on video, seen above.

The deer eventually relaxed enough to sprint off into the woods.
