Jacob anchors the evening newscasts on KWCH 12, and reports for Eyewitness News during the week. He joins the news team, after two years covering a wide range of sporting events for the Eyewitness Sports team. During that time, Jacob was able to cover two Royals World Series runs, two NCAA tournaments, a bowl game, and countless other events ranging from high school to the pros. He plans to bring that same passion and energy to the Eyewitness News Team, helping cover the stories that matter most to the viewers and their families.
Jacob comes to KWCH 12 after spending seven years in Amarillo, TX at KFDA-TV. He began his career in news, as a morning news reporter. After about a year covering news, he worked his way to the Sports Director position in Amarillo where he spent 5 years.
He many years experience on the radio, as well as television, providing in game action for various sports and several sports talk shows along the way. Even though he is now a "news guy", Jacob still loves to talk sports, so feel free to spark up a debate if you see him out and about.
Jacob grew up on a ranch in the small town of Bushland, TX, and is a graduate of West Texas A&M. He is a huge Texas Rangers fan.
He is joined by his wife, his daughter (born in Wichita!), as well as a dog (Jaxie) and cat (Rilla).
