Her favorite thing about being a journalist is meeting new people and telling their stories.

Brittni joined the KWCH team as a Reporter/Multimedia Journalist in August of 2016. She comes to us from Tyler, Texas where she was a reporter and the Weekend Anchor for newscasts in Waco and East Texas. She covered everything from tornadoes to an execution by lethal injection.

Brittni grew up in Phoenix, Arizona and attended The Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University. She was a multimedia journalist for Cronkite NewsWatch on PBS 8.1 while attending Arizona State University. Brittni also anchored for MCTV’s “In the District” and reported on “Maricopa Now” in Phoenix.

Her favorite thing about being a journalist is meeting new people and telling their stories. She is a former cheerleader for the NHL’s Arizona Coyotes. When she’s not chasing stories, Brittni enjoys cooking, hiking and dancing. She is a co-founder of Miss Sparkles Fun Beauty Pageant — a not-for-profit organization for girls with disabilities.

Brittni is excited for new adventures in Wichita. She would love to hear from you whether it’s to just say hello or send story ideas. You can email her at bthomason@kwch.com and follow her on Twitter @KWCHBrittni.
