Affidavit: Neighbor identifies man accused in deadly house fire, Amber Alert

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) We now know more about the man charged in a June deadly house fire and an Amber Alert.

The body of Reyona Caldwell was found in the basement of a home after a fire Fune 2.

Dane Wright was arrested and charged with arson, three counts of child endangerment and first-degree murder.

The affidavit says firefighters were called to a home on North Ash and they found a body in the basement of the home.

A neighbor said he saw a man leaving with a child carrier about 25 minutes before the fire.

Several tools were found in the basement including one near Caldwell's body.

Investigators determined three children were missing from the home. That's when the amber alert was issued.

Investigators found the kids at the Heritage Inn on south Broadway later that evening.

According to the affidavit, Wright was found moments later trying to get away from police.

The affidavit said Wright told investigators he left the children in the hotel room on multiple occasions to go use meth at a different motel.
