WICHITA, Kan. You could pay more at the gas pump this summer.
AAA predicts the national average for a gallon of gas at the pump will jump by about 40 cents, peaking near $2.70.
To offset the increase in gas prices (about a 70 cent increase from last year at this time), AAA says more than 70 percent of consumers say they would make everyday lifestyle or driving habit changes, including combining errands or trips, driving less, reducing shopping or dining out, delaying major purchases and carpooling.
GasBuddy.com shows Wichita's average gas price is $2.08 per gallon. The website also shows Kansas with the 12th lowest gas prices in the country, averaging $2.12 per gallon.
