App developed by WSU student connects you with lawn care services

WICHITA, Kan. A new app is hoping to make it easier to care for your lawn.

It's called Lawn Buddy. It's an Uber-like app that connects you with a network of local lawn care services at the touch of a button.

The app offers lawn mowing services as well as leaf removal and snow removal during the winter months.

It was developed by a Wichita State University Entrepreneurship major Steve Werner.

"I had no idea if there was an Uber for lawn mowing or if there was any type of service like that. I did a quick Google search, because that's where you find everything now is Google, and there wasn't anything that was remotely like what I was looking for," Werner said.

Werner says the app is still in development, and he hopes to have it rolled out by this Winter.
