It was a game for the history books in Hutch as the Blue Dragons battled Coffeyville to start their 2017 season in the Jayhawk Conference.
Hutchinson had two turnovers and gave up two safeties in the first half to go down 25-0 to the Red Ravens including two Justin Henderson rushing touchdowns.
But in the second quarter the Blue Dragons did not give in, BJ Emmons made up for an early fumble and quarterback Cam Jones found Jaylen Erwin on a deep ball to spark the Hutch comeback trailing 25-23 at the half.
As the teams kept trading scores for most of the second half, Andrew Lee runs in the game-winner for the Blue Dragons as Hutchinson completes the biggest comeback in school history to win 50-42.
Head coach Rion Rhoades says despite winning the game, his team played ugly.
"We have a lot to fix. I'm happy we won the game today, but I'm really disappointed in how we operated and the discipline level of how our guys today. We have just got to be better if we want to be the type of team we want to be."
