Boutique Air celebrates first flights connecting Dodge City with Denver

DODGE CITY, Kan. The Dodge City Airport Monday held a ribbon-cutting as "Boutique Air" celebrates its first flights connecting Dodge City with Denver. The San Francisco-based airline started its Dodge City to Denver operation Jan. 1.

In November, Dodge City commissioners approved an agreement to make Boutique Air the new essential air service for its airport.

Boutique offers 18 round-trip flights to the Mile High City each week: 15 round trips on Monday through Friday and three round trips on Saturday and Sunday.

Boutique Air replaced PenAir as Dodge City's essential air service.

Last year PenAir decided to leave earlier than expected after declaring Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
