WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) A boy named Maxwell Freeman is making us Kansas Proud on Christmas Eve.
He spent the day with others giving out blankets to homeless people around Wichita.
Max says the project started two years ago and the inspiration to start the project came from a personal experience.
"I saw a homeless person in the street and they were really cold, so I thought maybe I could make a blanket, so I can do blankets for hope," he said.
Max did not end up making the blankets, but he did raise donations to buy around 80 blankets to donate.
