WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Changes are coming to a bout tonight involving Wichita's own Olympic bronze medalist.
In a series of tweets, Nico Hernandez says his original opponent pulled out of the fight this morning 'stating false reasons why.'
He also says he wants everyone to know that he is taking a 'blind fight against a new opponent tonight to show a fight for his fans.'
Hernandez will face Kendrick Latchman - who is an MMA fighter.
The Wichita native's former opponent, Basyzbek Baratov, pulled out of the fight after Hernandez weighed in overweight. He came in at 113 lbs - a pound over the 112 lb requirement.
