WICHITA, Kan. Continued construction on Interstate 235 and Kellogg is again impacting traffic in west Wichita.
The Kansas Department of Transportation says over a four-day stretch from Friday to Monday (Jan. 19-22), eight steel bridge beams for the northbound I-235 ramp bridge to westbound US 54 (Kellogg) will require Kellogg to close under I-235 and I-235 to close over Kellogg.
K-DOT says all roads will be back open by 6 a.m. Monday with westbound Kellogg expected to be open Saturday.
K-DOT says one lane for each direction of I-235 over Kellogg and one lane for each direction of Kellogg under I-235 will close at 5 p.m. Friday. K-DOT says complete closures of north and southbound I-1235 and east and westbound Kellogg will continue between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.
"At 7 p.m. (Friday), all detours will be in place," K-DOT says.
