These 15-year-olds are more interested in sports than manicures. Doing their nails takes time Alex Barbor and Cheyenne Lisle would rather spend on something else.
"It's so hard to paint them. And you get [it] all over your fingers. So annoying," Alex said.
They seem like the perfect testers for "Spray Perfect."
A video on its website says, "'Spray Perfect' gives you all over gorgeous color in seconds, for the world's fastest manicure. And don't stress the mess. The extra polish washes right off your skin with water."
We bought two different colors of "Spray Perfect" online, plus the base/top coat for $21.99. That includes a web service fee.
Alex and Cheyenne go over the instructions.
"Do not dry by blowing on base coat," Alex says while reading the instructions.
They start by applying the base/top coat. From that point on, it's pretty easy. Our testers shake and spray, wait three minutes, and apply the base/top coat again.
After washing their hands, Alex and Cheyenne liked how the extra polish came right off. They said it worked!
But just nine hours later, they noticed some chipping. And, three days later most of the polish was coming off. We also want to mention,
Cheyenne's "Racy Red" color... looked closer to maroon. The company says in order to make your manicure last... use the top coat every few days.
Even though our testers liked the initial results, we wanted to ask the company about the polish chipping. In an email, it said in part... "it is not typical for spray perfect to chip off nails within the first day of application.
In fact, Spray Perfect typically lasts about three to five days with the proper application of the base coat prior to spraying on the polish, as well as the application of a top coat after." It added... "it's important to note that all non-gel polishes, including Spray Perfect, can chip off nails depending on activity..."
Our young testers are very active and played soccer the next day after application.
After we tested Spray Perfect, we received the following response from a spokesperson for the company:
I am the media contact for Spray Perfect and received your email regarding the "Does it Work" segment that KWCH will be running on Spray Perfect. We are very excited for you to be reviewing our spray on nail polish, and wanted to take this opportunity to clear up any questions and concerns you may have about the product.
I am happy to hear that your testers had positive feedback about Spray Perfect after applying the polish. However, it is not typical for Spray Perfect to chip off nails within the first day of application. In fact, Spray Perfect typically lasts about three to five days with the proper application of the base coat prior to spraying on the polish, as well as the application of a top coat after.
It's important to note that all non-gel polishes, including Spray Perfect, can chip off nails depending on activity, abrasion, and exposure to harsh household products (such as cleaning products, hand sanitizer, etc.)
Plymouth Direct, marketer for Spray Perfect, has a no questions asked, satisfaction guaranteed policy provided on every order, and we have had a very low return rate of less than 1% on Spray Perfect.
