Father arrested in fatal shooting of Wichita teen

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) MONDAY UPDATE: Police have arrested the 41-year-old father of a Wichita teenager who was shot and killed over the weekend.

Glen Farrow was booked into the Sedgwick County Jail.

According to police, Farrow and his son were arguing in the front yard of their home when the teen was shot.

Police say it appears Farrow shot his son in the back as he took off running, but investigators are still piecing together what happened.

A third person was in the yard at the time, but was not involved in the argument or shooing.

No one else was hurt.
UPDATE (11:00pm): A 17-year-old died at a Wichita hospital Sunday due to a shooting near 21st Street and I-135.

Police said the teen was found with a gunshot wound near 23rd Street and Looman Sunday at about 9pm.

He was then brought to the hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to Wichita Police.

Investigators didn't have any information about possible suspects and ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111 or to submit a tip at their website .

A man is dead following a shooting in north Wichita Sunday night.
Sedgwick County Dispatch said this happened around 9:00 p.m. There are no suspects in custody. Police are still on scene investigating.
