Fans cheer on WSU players as they arrive home

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) It was a tough loss Sunday for both Shockers fans and players. The players arrived back in Wichita Sunday night where fans met them.

Players shook hands and took pictures with fans as they got off their bus.

Shaq Morris spoke with KWCH, calling the game against Kentucky a nail biter. He said he wishes the team would have won, but he is proud of the season they had.

"A lot of people thought it would be a rebuilding year for us, and going 35-1 is definitely better than a rebuilding year especially losing two NBA guys, " said Morris. "People just can't count us out anymore."

Morris believes it will really be an advantage that the players are young and almost everyone will be returning next year.
