Fire danger ramps up again

By  |

Chief Meteorologist Ross Janssen says that as the wind and temperatures increase for Tuesday, so will the extreme fire danger. Most of the area will likely see a Red Flag Warning issued (if you aren't in it already)

Looks like temperatures Tuesday morning will start in the 20s, but should quickly warm into the 50s and 60s during the afternoon. South winds will gust to 30 mph, especially over central and eastern Kansas.

A cold front will move into the area on Wednesday, helping to knock the wind down some and cooling temperatures off a bit for the second half of the week. There could be a few flurries Wednesday night in the northwest, but it won't amount to much.
