First day of spring brings out baby gorillas at Sedgwick County Zoo

WICHITA, Kan. The first day of spring delivered plenty of sunshine and record high temperatures in Wichita. It was enough for the Downing Gorilla Forest staff at the Sedgwick County Zoo to decide that it was too nice to keep the two newest members of the zoo's gorilla family inside.

The zoo says Monday was the first time in the outside yard for the
gorilla born on Feb. 22 (baby No. 2). The baby gorilla made its public debut at the zoo earlier this month.

"You might start seeing the family group outside a little more," the zoo says on its Facebook page.

The first baby gorilla at the zoo was born on Aug. 3, 2016.

You can keep track of where the family group will be each day and when you can visit the youngest members of the group HERE.
