Free document shredding available at 10 Kansas locations

TOPEKA, Kan. (KWCH) The Kansas Attorney General’s Office will mark National Consumer Protection Week, March 4-10, with free document destruction events throughout the state.

The office will sponsor free document destruction at the 10 following locations below:

Monday, March 5
11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
City Hall North Lot, 701 Washington St.

4 – 6 p.m.
Cico Park Swimming Pool, Wreath and Robinson Dr.

Tuesday, March 6
Noon – 2 p.m.
Garden City
Western State Bank, 1500 E. Kansas Ave.

Wednesday, March 7
11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
PSU Women’s Varsity Softball Parking Lot, 2004 S. Rouse Ave.

4 – 6 p.m.
Bowyer Community Building, U.S. Hwy. 50 & Industrial Rd.

Thursday, March 8
11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Home Depot, 5000 S. 4th. St.

4 – 6 p.m.
Douglas County Fairgrounds, 1930 Harper St.

Friday, March 9
11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Kansas State Fairgrounds, Gate 7, State Fair Rd.

4 – 6 p.m.
Chisholm Trail Center, 601 S.E. 36th St.

Saturday, March 10
9 a.m. – Noon
Judicial Center, S.W. 12th St. & Van Buren St.

Consumers are asked to limit their documents for destruction to three small bags or boxes. Shredding will be done onsite, except the Topeka location, where documents will be securely transported to the shredding facility.
