Across western Kansas, winds will be gusty from the northwest. Wind gusts between 25-30 m.p.h. will be possible. Highs today will reach the 30s and low 40s. Clouds will be stubborn across south-central Kansas with a few peeks of sun towards late afternoon.
High pressure builds into the region tonight clearing skies across Kansas. Winds will diminish in the west. Clear skies and light winds will allow for a rapid cool down, with lows in the teens and low 20s. After a chilly start to the morning, sunshine will be mixed with sunshine on Sunday. Temperatures will be warming up into the upper 40s and 50s.
The warming trend will continue Monday and Tuesday with highs in the 60s. Another weather system approaches Tuesday night into Wednesday and will bring a chance of rain and thunderstorms to mainly southern and eastern Kansas. Drying out towards the end of the week into next weekend. Highs Wednesday through Friday will be in the 50s.
