Independence Day sparks 1776 sale at Kansas Humane Society

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) You have a chance to celebrate Independence Day while welcoming in a new family friend at the same time.

To celebrate the holiday, the Kansas Humane Society is holding a "Pet Independence Day" this Saturday where all animals will be on sale for $17.76. That price includes the fee to spay or neuter a pet, vaccinations, a microchip, treatment for fleas and ticks, and one free bag of food.

The Kansas Humane Society has taken in around 900 animals this year and 700 have been adopted out so far.

Doors will open at 11am and will close at 6:30pm.
