WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) As kids prepare to go back to school, the Kansas Highway Patrol is making sure they have a safe journey.
The Kansas Highway Patrol inspected hundreds of school buses Thursday for the upcoming school year.
Inspections are conducted every year to make sure everything is operating properly.
Troopers check for broken equipment and mechanical systems on the school bus including the brake, steering and fuel systems.
Each bus receives a sticker from the KHP when it has passed inspection.
The KHP will inspect the other half of the USD 259 fleet sometime in August.
