About 74 soldiers and 70 airmen from the Kansas National Guard have been assigned to help with parade line-up, medical standby, the mobile kitchen and other tasks.
More than 7,500 national guard soldiers and airmen from 44 states will be there to assist.
Fort Riley's Commanding General's Mounted Color Guard will be marching in the Inaugural Parade. It was one of 40 initial groups invited to participate.
The CGMCG will ride 13 horses, including two draft horses, that will lead the team's 1871-era escort wagon.
