Kansas Association of Chiefs of Police warns of scam targeting Kansans

The Kansas Association of Chiefs of Police issues a warning about a scam targeting people in the state.

"Kansans have been receiving phone calls from an unknown telemarketing company claiming to be representing the (KACP)," the association says. "The KACP currently does not have anyone working on our behalf to solicit funding through telemarketing."

If you get a call from someone claiming to be from the KACP, the association says you should not give out any personal information.

"If you have donated funds or have received a call, we encourage you to reach out to your local law enforcement," the KACP says.
