Kansas Barbecue Shootout happening this weekend

CHENEY, Kan. (KWCH) The Kansas Barbecue Shootout is happening this weekend at the Sedgwick County Fairgrounds.

The event will feature 47 teams that will compete from all around the country, including two winners from the Barbecue Pit Masters tv show.

Registration costs $300 per day, or $500 for both days, and there are cash prizes for the winners.

This will be the first year for the competition.

The event is open to the public but the only barbecue you'll get to eat is from a vendor who was hired for the event.
