Kansas Highway Patrol trooper dies

TOPEKA, Kan. (KWCH) A technical trooper with the Kansas Highway Patrol passed away on Wednesday.

Brandon Koch, 33 served KHP for more than a decade. Those close to him say he loved the outdoors, in particular, hunting and fishing.

He leaves behind his children, Gavin, Gabrielle, Gracie, and Griffin who he raised with his wife Lisa in Baldwin City, Kansas and back in his home community of Clifton, Kansas.

Funeral services for Brandon will be Monday 10 a.m.at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Clyde, KS. Washington County Sheriff's House.

Eyewitness News has yet to learn how Brandon died.
