Kansas K-9 unit awarded grant from Ben Roethlisberger Foundation

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) The Ben Roethlisberger Foundation awarded the Bonner Springs Police Department a grant for their K-9 program.

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger started the foundation to support police and fire departments throughout the U.S. with a particular emphasis on support for K-9 units and service dogs.

The Bonner Springs Police Department posted a thank you message on its Facebook page on Thursday.

The Bonner Springs Police Department, Officer Bargerstock, and K-9 Scout would like to thank the Ben Roethlisberger Foundation for choosing our department to receive a grant for our K-9 program. We are grateful for the grant opportunity the foundation provides to Police Departments and their K-9's across the nation, and that we could be a part of it.
