Chief Meteorologist Ross Janssen says that after a quiet day on Thursday, stronger winds and warming temperatures will raise the concerns for fire danger at the end of the week.
Overnight, clouds will clear from Kansas with lows slipping into the 20s and 30s. North winds will be gusty for several hours and wind chills early Thursday will be down in the teens. The afternoon looks sunny with highs in the lower 50s.
Expect mainly clear skies into Friday with south winds gusting to 35 or 40 mph. Temperatures will warm into the 60s and should stay rather mild all the way through the weekend.
