Man sentenced to 61 years in prison for deadly Starkey crash

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) A judge sentenced a man to 734 months, a little more than 61 years, in prison for a crash that killed two residents from Starkey, Inc.
an organization that helps adults with developmental disabilities.

Bret Blevins was convicted last month on several charges including involuntary manslaughter and second-degree murder for killing 2 people while driving drunk.

Blevins sped through a stop sign last year crashing into a van belonging to an organization that helps people with developmental disabilities.

In addition to the two people were killed in the crash, several others were hurt.
