About 30 children with elevated blood lead levels in Saline Co.

SALINE COUNTY, Kan. The Kansas Department for Heath and Environment is holding a public information meeting in two weeks after about 30 children were found to have elevated blood lead levels in Saline County.

The session will be held on Tuesday, June 21st at 6:30 p.m. at the Salina Community Theatre located at 303 East Iron Avenue.

The KDHE says staff will take questions and discuss the investigation. They will also present plans to determine the cause or causes of the elevated blood lead levels and give information on how to prevent lead exposure.

Residents in Saline County included in the investigation will be contacted by KDHE and are invited to attend the meeting.
