Plymouth learning center director resigns amid investigation

The Plymouth Learning Center is looking for a new preschool director. Kris Quillin resigned Wednesday amid the investigation With Caleb Gaston.

Gaston was employed with Plymouth Learning Center from April 2017 to October 2017. He was fired after a report of "inappropriate touching." The case was turned over to police. Prosecutors didn't file charges.

Quillin says he did everything he should have done after getting the complaint. He says he's sad he couldn't protect the kids.

Plymouth says after the report, it called KDHE and a police investigation started. It says it did a background check through the KBI and checked references on Gaston before hiring him.

A letter sent home to parents Wednesday confirmed Quillin resigned as the director of the preschool. It said Plymouth would be having a parent meeting to talk about the Gaston investigation.
