Public comment for testing at Chilocco Indian School ends Friday

NEWKIRK, Okla. (KWCH) The public comment period regarding the testing at the former Chilocco India School ends on Friday.

The Department of Homeland Security plans to conduct the testing early next year. It would include a low-level release of inert chemical and biological simulant materials.

A spokesperson for the department said it has received about 300 emails so far. It will take those comments and evaluate them... then decide if the plan needs to be modified.
